Upgrade Motorsport's involvement with Formula Student isn't limited to the UK.


We supply student racing teams internationally, helping university engineers access lightweight motorsport hydraulic technology for Formula Student projects across the world.


One of those teams is FLETA FORMULA, the Formula Student Korea team from Halla University in South Korea.


FLETA FORMULA is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026 and has spent the past decade designing and constructing its own Formula vehicles.


The team currently consists of 20 members working across three principal engineering divisions: Powertrain – Chassis – Aero.

Their most recent success saw the team achieve 3rd place at the Boryeong Mayor's Cup Gymkhana Competition, and their goal for the 2026 season is to successfully complete the race while competing for a Merit Award.

The compact master cylinder body is manufactured from hard-anodised aerospace-grade aluminium, combining strength with exceptionally low weight.


At the heart of the design is an 8mm internal-diameter spherical bearing. Rather than forcing the master cylinder to remain rigid while the pedal and balance bar move through their natural arc, the bearing allows the cylinder to pivot with the pedal assembly. This helps minimise unwanted side loading on the piston and seals.


For Formula Student teams designing their own pedal boxes from the ground up, this gives engineers a compact and highly effective solution that can be incorporated directly into the vehicle design.
